Padmanath Gohain Baruah Government Model College (PNGBGMC) is an institution of higher education established by the Government of Assam in 2020. The College aims to create an enlightened society, adhering to the relentless pursuit of excellence through innovation in the process of teaching and learning. Tucked away 60 km off the HQ of Tinsukia District, the College is located at Dirak-Kakopather, an inter-state border region between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
With a team of well-qualified and dedicated faculty members and their diverse experience and expertise, the College is committed to providing quality education to the students. Since its inception, PNGBGMC has strived to be interactive and participatory in terms of teaching and learning. Students are encouraged to participate in an all-inclusive learning process. Curriculums here include a variety of activities such as classroom-contact lectures, tutorials, discussions, assignments, seminars, fieldwork, projects, and student presentations, etc. Overall student progress is monitored, and corrective action is taken when necessary. We also encourage students to participate in extra-curricular activities. We are dedicated to the inclusive development of our students by connecting them to explore their potential, and efforts have been made to make them responsible citizens to serve the nation.
